What a fantastic day yesterday at our 2024 BWIB “Ignite Your Business”Summit.
15 speakers throughout the day, speed networking and lots of collaboration from the attendees. I think even a few new friendships were made.

Creating in Canva: Beyond the Basics

Bec McCoan is a content specialist. She has a broad skillset across digital and social media platforms, including website maintenance, preparation and distribution of eDMs, graphic design in Canva and more.

Bec helps clients to understand their communication needs and develop creative and effective digital media solutions, and manages social media platforms for multiple women-owned businesses, as well as for large not-for-profit organisations. This includes preparing artwork and copy for organic social media content, managing algorithms for maximum impact and aligning paid social media advertising.

Her use of Canva to design batch content, prepare templates and utilise consistent branding is key to the success of channels Bec manages. Bec also works on significant entertainment projects such as fundraising galas, award ceremonies and international conferences to deliver on marketing and partnership objectives.

Experiencing company growth from 4 staff to over 500, company takeovers, venture capital investment and finally company sale. She then created her own company helping to simplify SEO (search engine optimisation) and social media for small businesses.

Having spoken at International SEO events, Nici loves to simplify these techie subjects into simple terms with actionable steps for small business owners. Her mission is to help small businesses make an impact with their website or social media and gain traffic so they can convert them into sales by providing affordable packages or simple courses for small businesses.

And to balance out her life she is an avid seascape and marine animal painter.
